This past Sunday, we had a fantastic community cleanup event in Ward 5, with neighbors coming together to help keep our streets clean and safe. I’m grateful to have been joined by Mike McCarthy, Zach Scheffler, the Laddison family, Mayor Smith, Councilor Cioffi, Heather Kelly, and many others who took time out of their weekend to support this effort.
Together, we collected five bags of trash, and I’m pleased to report that no needles were found—an encouraging sign for our neighborhood. It’s these small, collective efforts that build a stronger, more connected community, and I’m always inspired by the willingness of our residents to step up and take action.
Thank you to everyone who participated in making Ward 5 a cleaner, safer place. Our work isn’t finished, but with such great teamwork, I’m confident we can continue making positive changes for our community.
