June Wardly eNewsletter

I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the discussions around public safety. It was inspiring to see so many of you come out and share your thoughts and concerns at the public safety forum. A big thank you to everyone who spoke up—your input is so important to us as we work on making our community safer for everyone.

I’d also like to extend my gratitude to our amazing professional panel. Your insights and dedication will go a long way towards helping our city tackle the recent rise in local crime, and your support means a lot. Together, we’re making progress and looking out for each other. Out Chief of police reminded us if we see something say something.

The City Council is keeping a close eye on public safety events. We’re working alongside the SAPD and the city manager’s office, creating strategies to reduce crime. My dedication as councilor for Ward 5 comes from our shared love for this city that we all call home. If you didn’t have the opportunity to come out and share, and wish to, please reach out to your city councilor with thoughts and concerns.

On a lighter note, I’m excited to share that the Saint Albans City School is running a summer meals program for kids under 18. They’re offering free breakfast and lunch every day of the week! It’s a fantastic way to ensure our kids are well-fed and happy throughout the summer.

Thank you all for being such an engaged and caring community. Your involvement truly makes a difference.
