A Vision For The Future
Building a Safer, Stronger, and Fairer City: Together for Progress
Vision
A Future for All of Us
As our city evolves and expands, it’s crucial to tackle the challenges that could otherwise hinder its seamless growth.
Issues
Economic Development & Jobs
Despite the buzz of new businesses setting up shop and the hard work of economic development folks, we’ve still got some hurdles to leap for lasting economic growth. Those empty shops, the spaces that aren’t being put to good use, and the ongoing parking issues—they’re still very much need to be on the radar.
Public Safety
The escalating concerns regarding public safety demand our immediate attention. Incidents such as vehicle break-ins, arson cases, and porch thefts are causing unease in our neighborhoods. It’s imperative to address these issues effectively, especially considering everything our police department is navigating.
We need to approach this with a careful eye on our resources. It’s about finding effective solutions that not only address these safety issues but also do so within the bounds of our police department’s budget. Balancing safety and fiscal responsibility is key to ensuring the well-being of our community.
Information & Communications
The importance of communication in any community cannot be overstated, especially during times of heightened concerns around public safety. As we navigate forward we need to effectively share information, listen to our neighbors’ needs, and address safety through improved communications, new job opportunities, and enhacements to public safety and awareness programs. These are all important initiatives and values that I will bring to the table if elected to Saint Albans City Council Ward 5.
Get Involved
Contributing to your community is a powerful way to make a difference. Whether through participation in the recreational department, downtown board, local farmers’ market, or numerous other avenues, getting involved fosters positive change and enriches the place we call home.
