October Wardly eNewsletter

OCTOBER HIGHLIGHTS

  • Community & Neighborhood Safety At every council meeting, we discuss ways to enhance community safety and receive regular updates from the Police Department. We also invite groups that may impact neighborhood safety to share their insights. It’s worth noting that several neighborhood watch groups are forming across the city. If you’re interested in starting or joining a neighborhood watch in Ward 5, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
  • Neighborhood Clean Up A community-led group meets most Sundays in different parts of the city to collect litter and identify potential safety hazards. I’m proud to report that during our recent walk through Ward 5 neighborhoods, we collected fewer bags of trash compared to similar events elsewhere, and we didn’t encounter any discarded needles. Keep up the great work, Ward 5!
