WARDLY NEWS – NOVEMBER 2026
Hello, neighbors! I’m Erik Johnson, your Ward 5 City Councilor, here to keep you updated on what’s happening in our ward and across St. Albans. I’m always happy to hear your thoughts, concerns, or ideas. You can find more information, local events, and ways to stay connected at ward5vt.com.
🗳️ The General Election is Tomorrow!!!!
Tomorrow, Tuesday November 3, the polls will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM. For St. Albans voters, that means City Hall for city residents and Collins Perley for town voters.
❄️ Winter is just around the corner. Are you ready? Let’s all do our part to keep Ward 5 and the city safe this winter! Clear sidewalks of debris so city snowblowers and plows can do their jobs, trim back any low-hanging branches that may obstruct sidewalks, and remember to move vehicles off the roadways before/during snowstorms so plow crews can clear streets safely. A little preparation and consideration from each of us goes a long way toward making winter safer and easier for everyone. Thanks for doing your part!

== CITY NEWS ==
NEW CROSSWALK LIGHTS ON MAIN
****🚶 The city and state have recently installed new crosswalk lights along Main Street in front of Taylor Park. Please remember to use the designated crosswalks when you’re out and about. Crossing outside of a crosswalk can be dangerous and sets a poor example for younger generations. Let’s all do our part to keep pedestrians and drivers safe!
I’m continuing to work with the city on a solution for our Gilman & Main cross walk, more news on this coming in 2027!
